Ian Hales

Board Chairman

Ian Hales is the founding pastor of Redemption Church Durham. Ian grew up in the Durham Region and by God’s grace was given the privilege to plant Redemption Durham in 2010. God has done and continues to do great things in and through Redemption Durham for the glory of His great name. Ian’s greatest desire is to see God glorified through a passionate pursuit of Jesus Christ. His prayer is that God will use Redemption Durham to be a pillar of truth in the Durham Region—that the preaching of God’s Word would be used to see lost people saved, saved people matured, and mature people multiplied. Ian and his wife Sarah were married in 2003 and are parents to their children Karis, Joshua, and Caleb.

Kaj Ballantyne

Kaj is the founding pastor of Harvest Church, a multi-location church in Muskoka, Ontario. Prior to launching Harvest Kaj spent 12 years leading a wilderness discipleship school called Summit College where he developed a passion to see people live in a community of love and grace while living radically different lives completely sold out for Jesus. Kaj and his wife Libby have three daughters: McKinley, Elianna, and Chloe.

Robbie Symons

Robbie Symons is the Senior Pastor of Hope Bible Church Oakville. His greatest passion is to see Jesus Christ glorified and lives changed forever as people realize their potential only through His amazing power! In 2003 a small Bible study began and by the power and grace of the Lord, it grew from a humble group of four people to a church of over 4,000 today. And through much prayer and God’s grace, Hope Oakville has seen the birth of several vibrant churches across Canada. Robbie’s radio ministry through Hope Bible Church Oakville called Live in the Light, can be heard daily throughout Southern Ontario, Western New York, and the Atlantic Provinces. He is also the author of Passion Cry: How Apathy is Killing the Church and a Passion for Christ Will Revive It. Robbie, his wife Gillian, and their four children live in Burlington, Ontario.

Trevor Peacock

Trevor grew up in Alberta and Saskatchewan and has done ministry there for over 20 years. He has served as a youth pastor and in September of 2010, planted Redemption Church Calgary North in Calgary, Alberta. He married his wife Heather in March of 2001 and they have two girls: Hope and Gabi.
